another tbt of sockabrate.

imagine socks, or anything really,

 i love those, as in socks.

pancakes are way to much effort for breakfast

for me, i''m super lazy.

 based on rubik's cube colours.

because... you get it?

it's a puzzle...?

i'll show myself out.

breakfast week apparently here.

croissants are great, buttery pastries that are made

of wonders. basic french thing,

coffee and a croissant.

noms.

 i was going for a backward sock,

as in you put it on backwards.

i feel like it looks really original,

just the making part would be probably

quite difficult.

when i did my paradise dress

i researched quite a lot

into scales so i thought

it was only acceptable i did a sock

like that too.

imagine it being slightly iridescent.

week 26

hi again.

next portion cause i'm on a roll.

 unfortunately i don't have a dog.

but i know some and they all love treats. 

i have a recipe for scooby snacks

if you want it, i can make a baking thing,

i bake sometimes.

salsa chips. 

comes in guacamole green too.

clam chowdah, nothing without clams!

i don't know,

i've never tried it.

but i do like the shell print.

for hot feet.

not my problem, ever.

couldn't figure out how to draw the seeds better,

but i like the idea of bigger strawberries.

i do already have a pair with berries

but they are really small.

 i was gonna do a design for another celebration

but i turns out that there is no other

sword-related holiday and i am

quite fond of such weapon

so here is this one.

and i wanted to do something

with silver and violet.

a sweet little piggy with 3d ears.

week 25

hi!

let's get started.

this week is a bit simpler, some of these are more of an association game.

 this is a pretty obvious one.

light, mind, creativity

 you know, he's famous for films with explosions?

i don't know, i don't usually do 

birthdays but i couldn't find anything good

for this day.

those explosions aren't even that cool...

 inspired by wines colours.

you can't really see the light ones,

but believe me it's there.

mint chocolate is probably in my 5 top chocolates.

and that's saying a lot,

since i can't be stopped with chocolate. 

now that i think of it,

it looks more like soil.

 i'm really proud of that one.

it looks a bit more cherry like

in real life but i'm shit

at editing.

cinnabons!

love them, want them on

my feet (not literally obviously)

saint lucia's doesn't look like that.

but it has these colours in this ratio,

so i decided to make some simple stripes. 

i haven't seen this combo before.

week 19

hi!

sockabrate returns!

 remember your first drawings? 

the sky is always blue, sun's yellow

and in the corner and you have squiggly lines as birds.

why not put them on your feet?

 i know it's a religious holiday but i like

the idea of the three kings.

put on some solid crowns,

ideally in different colours in the pack.

oh, maybe i would sell them

in threes so you can have different 

combinations?

like three different colours for a king each!

 i don't even know,

this looks more like sand in macro shots

than any type of rocks.

but imagine this as a print rather 

than knitted.

 for a couple of days (nights to be honest)

i've been obsessed with this type of illustration,

lots of lines.

it results in two nights per page but worth it.

and it would look great actually knitted.

 i wish i could draw the pits better.

the idea is a sea of apricot with pits inside.

i don't know why but when i think of people,

i mostly think of eyes.

as eyes are the window to the soul, glasses

would be a bit of a mirror. peculiar

people would probably have extraordinary

eyes and glasses.

a bit psychedelic too.

this is just the simplest thing.

i think a pure blank sock in the pair

would be great.

week 17 and 18

hi

as a late christmas/new year's gift from me to you i'm releasing my next week early :]

 ok, so this is really cool. this is a day

in honour of srinivasa ramanujan.

he basically taught himself and discovered

new math thing all on his own, totally
independently. how bad ass is that?

my kind of holiday. 

they make all kinds of things out of radishes.

sculptures ready-to-eat!

i rarely talk religion on here but here we go.

even though, i'm not religious at all i celebrate christmas.

it's a nice chance to get the family together 

and eat great food.

where i live we celebrate on christmas eve rather

than christmas day, that's why presents are here.

btw, do you get the 'what i got for christmas' trend

on youtube? cause i simply don't.

since the presents are already opened, i focus

on stuffing my face. generally i'm pescatarian,

but this is the only thing i make an exception for,

my mom's salad.

it's the best thing in the world, i can eat it

forever. when the biggest bowl in the house is empty,

i know it's the end of the holiday season.

(there is still some left though)

candy cane in the shape of boxes.

is that still candy cane?

probably not but i don't really care.

i love this geometrical design.

i feel like there is not enough socks with glitter

thread in them so this is silver snowflake heaven.

fell free to add more glitter.

this is for all those card players.

they probably give you good fortune.

i hope.

i love vintage clocks and watches, they

seem to be, oh irony, timelessly elegant.

so here is my tribute to them.

the short summary: i don't eat bacon.

as a result i don't know how to draw it.

cheap excuse alert.

so obvious yet so festive.

i wish there were more holidays that use fireworks.

they are somehow magical and i love all the colours.

btw, look in to the chemistry of these, fascinating.

i was inspired by a cupcake design and it worked out so good!

yes, i am aware that polar bears don't look or swim like that.

and that this is not the point of the day but it's

a fun play on words, come on!

first it sort of looked like something out of steam-punk,

but i added glow in the dark stripes,

silver and it sort of looks like a robot leg...?

i don't know.

colourful drinking straws are the best,

but i wouldn't recommend making those

socks out of actual ones.

probably really plastic feeling, and not sanitary.

  

stare in to the middle of my sock... and be a chicken!

...that sounds weird...

these were probably two of the craziest weeks yet, but let's see what 2015 brings!

week 16

hi!

sorry i'm late but here is sockabrate - watercolour week.

 it's actually my cousin's birthday on this day

and she loves cats, so it's very on point :].

 the best day, grab some chocolate and melt it. 

and just dip everything!

 a maple leaf smothered in maple syrup.

ca-na-da!

 cookie dough on your legs,

minus the gross sticky mess.

it still sounds gross, i should've done

another cookie design...

if you make it out of fluffy yarn it'll

actually look like a tree. or at least 

i hope.

 to be honest

i have no idea what this design is.

i just mixed every game i could think of.

this one i'm most proud of.

i'm not into doctor who but i thought 

since lots of my friends are, i should

do something with it.

and it's in different colour combos!

again, i'm sorry this is late.

but since the winter break is here, i'll have more time.
